Privacy Policy

How DIGITHRON collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Who we are

DIGITHRON is based in London, United Kingdom, and is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at hello@digithron.com.

This policy is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We work with businesses in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, and we do not offer our services in the European Union, the European Economic Area or elsewhere in Europe.

2. Information we collect

  • Details you give us through our forms, by email or on calls: your name, email address, phone number, company name, website, country, the time you would like a call, and anything you tell us about your business.
  • Client information we need to deliver a project: account contacts, project content, and billing details.
  • Payment information is handled by our payment processor at checkout. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Technical information our hosting platform records to run and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type and essential cookies. If you allow analytics in our cookie banner, we also count visits to our pages and offers to see what works (see our Cookies Policy). We do not use advertising cookies.
  • If you use our free website check, the website address you enter is sent to Google PageSpeed Insights to run the test. We do not store it.
  • If you sign up for our free course, website clinic or community waiting list, we keep the details you give (name, email, country, and anything else you choose to add) to send you what you signed up for.

3. How we use it, and our lawful bases

  • To respond to enquiries and book calls (our legitimate interest in answering you, or steps you ask us to take before a contract).
  • To deliver and support the services you buy from us (performance of our contract).
  • To keep accounting, tax and other records we are required to keep (legal obligation).
  • To keep our site and systems secure (legitimate interests).
  • To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, under contracts that protect it:

  • our website, hosting and CRM platform provider, which runs on Amazon Web Services;
  • our payment processor;
  • email and communication services we use to reply to you;
  • professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers;
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Some of our providers store or process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Our website, hosting and CRM platform stores data on Amazon Web Services servers in Northern Virginia, USA.

We are working with that provider to put in place the safeguards UK data protection law requires for these transfers, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, and we will update this policy when they are in place. You can contact us at any time to ask for more information about these transfers.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client. We keep client and billing records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet UK tax and accounting rules. We delete or anonymise information when we no longer need it.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

If you are in the United States or Canada, you may have similar rights under the privacy laws where you live, including Canada's PIPEDA. Contact us and we will help, and you can also contact your local privacy regulator.

To make a request, email hello@digithron.com. We will reply within one month.

8. Children

Our site and services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 18.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
